Dilip Kumar Passes Away: Police Officers Arrive To Give State Honour To Late Legendary Actor; Netizens Say ‘He Truly Deserves It’

The Hindi film industry lost one of the greatest gems in Dilip Kumar on Wednesday morning. The actor, who has been known as the ‘Tragedy King’, passed away at the age of 98 on July 7 in the morning. Kumar breathed his last at PD Hinduja around 7:30 AM. We have seen the actor dabble in diverse genres including comedy and drama during his 50-year long career. Kumar who was born Yousuf Khan in Peshawar on December 11, 1922, was the one who defined the Hindi film hero.
Dilip made his debut in the Indian film industry in 1944 with the film Jwar Bhata but he rose to fame with the film, Jugnu which was released in 1944. Considering his diverse and incredible films, the police officers have now arrived at his residence to give him a state honour for his iconic work. A video of the same surfaced online where the cops are seen marching towards the house. Netizens started pouring in their reactions and said he truly deserved it. A fan wrote, “The only star who deserve this... salute to the legend” while another one said, “He truly deserves this legend we will miss you.”
Dilip Kumar had been bestowed upon with civilian honours like Padma Bhushan in 1991, Nishan-e-Imtiaz in 1998 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015 among many.

Faisal Farooqui informed everyone about Dilip Kumar’s death on the actor's account. It read, “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. - Faisal Farooqui”
After his demise, many celebrities like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Sidharth Malhotra and many more took to their social media handles to express their grief.
Dilip Kumar crematory will take place in Mumbai's Juhu Kabristan in Santacruz at 5:00 PM on Wednesday.
